Alstroemeria: the longest-lasting cut bloom

I routinely get 18–21 days from locally grown alstroemeria in plain tap water with a pinch of citric acid, which means fewer replacements and a smaller footprint than weekly imported roses. Has anyone clocked a longer, sustainably sourced stem in real-world vase tests?

Recutting the stems under water on day 5 has been my biggest bump: from your ‘18–21 days’ with tap + citric acid to 24–25 for me, as it clears the citric-softened clog without pulling air. Only caveat: keep the vase a few feet from fruit, or the ethylene wipes out the gain — have you tried that midweek underwater recut yet?
